PRESIDENT

Larry Cravalho

Larry Cravalho was born on Oʻahu and raised on both Maui and Oʻahu. After growing up in his family’s Kailua business, he served in the U.S. Air Force and later dedicated 15 years to coaching youth baseball while staying active in the Jaycees.

In 1976, Larry began a long civil service career at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, eventually retiring after 40 years as a Planning and Engineering Manager supporting the Navy’s Nuclear Submarine fleet. He now runs a sports officiating company that coordinates nearly 90 officials across multiple major sports. Larry’s volunteer work with the Portuguese Genealogical Society inspired his dream of creating a Portuguese Community Center on Oʻahu. He has been happily married to Thongyod Y. Yeipuy “Dang” for 29 years.

VICE PRESIDENT

Rick Saunders III

Rick Saunders was born and raised in Kailua on O‘ahu’s windward side and now resides in Aiea. A proud graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Kapālama (Class of 1983), he went on to attend the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa on a football scholarship, earning a degree in Secondary Education with a focus on History. After college and a tryout with the San Diego—now Los Angeles—Chargers, Rick returned home to teach in both public and private schools while coaching high school football for nearly 30 years. He also served 21 years in the U.S. Navy Reserves, retiring as a Lieutenant Commander. Today, Rick owns a long-standing fundraising and wholesale snack business in Aiea and works full-time as a Safety Manager for Hawai‘i Stevedores.

TREASURER

Mia Moody

Mia is a wife, mom, and business owner living in Ewa Beach with her husband, Marc, and their three sons—Tanner, Titus, and Taj. Her three stepdaughters, Mia Lei, Ariana, and Ellia, reside in Ohio. She graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2012 with a B.B.A. in Accounting and went on to work at several CPA firms, specializing in nonprofit audits. In 2022, Mia launched her own company, MVM Accounting, which provides accounting and bookkeeping services to local nonprofits across O‘ahu. A proud PCHC member since 2021, she is excited to serve in a larger capacity as Board Treasurer for the 2023 year.

SECRETARY

Loy McKeague

Loyola “Loy” Leandro McKeague is known for her strong work ethic, commitment, and dedication. She attended Kailua High School, the Computer Programming Institute in New York, and the University of Hawai‘i. For 38 years, she has worked as an Independent Insurance Agent with Insurance Associates Inc., writing commercial, personal, and life policies. As she looks toward retirement, Loy hopes to spend more time with her family—especially her ten grandchildren—and enjoy more golf with several local women’s golf clubs. A proud member of the Ahahui Ka‘ahumanu Society for 34 years and of PCHC since 2021, she is excited to serve as Board Secretary. She enjoyed volunteering at the 2023 Festa and hopes to visit Portugal soon. Loy also remains actively interested in the future development of the Waikele Business Center.

Danny Abreu

Danny Abreu was born and raised in Waimānalo and now lives in Kailua. He spent 33 years with McDonald’s of Hawai‘i in key leadership roles, including Operations, Training, Human Resources, and Field Service Supervisor for franchisees. For the past 15 years, he has operated his own successful real estate business, serving families and investors across O‘ahu. Danny has deep roots in Madeira Island and recently co-produced the Portuguese in Hawai‘i documentary and book, helping preserve and share the community’s history. He also serves as the Scholarship Chairperson and is an active member of the Portuguese Cultural & Historical Center’s membership committee. Married for 42 years, Danny is an avid golfer, fisherman, and musician who enjoys giving back to his community whenever he can.

Rudy Ahlo

Rudy Ahlo’s life and career are marked by dedication, leadership, and a true commitment to excellence. Raised in Hawai‘i, he graduated from St. Louis High School and continued his education at the University of Hawai‘i, completing managerial courses in Cost Control, Leasing vs. Buying, and Contract Negotiating—skills that would shape his professional path. Rudy began his career in 1957 with Pacific Chemical & Fertilizer Company before moving to Fred L. Waldron Company as a Steamship Agent for Pacific Far East and Swedish Lines. In 1963, he joined Del Monte Corporation, beginning a remarkable 38-year career. Starting as a Purchasing Control Clerk, his talent and work ethic earned him selection into the prestigious Management Trainee Program and led to increasingly significant leadership roles. Now enjoying retirement, Rudy reflects proudly on a lifetime of contribution to Hawai‘i’s agricultural and business communities.

Wilma Boudreau

Wilma Souza Boudreau was born and raised on Kaua‘i in the Territory of Hawai‘i, part of a large Portuguese family whose grandfather served as a plantation manager under King Kalākaua and Makee ownership. As a young girl, she sang with a vocal group trained by the renowned Von Trapp family, performing at the Hilton Hawaiian Village—then Kaiser’s—as well as on ships and submarines at Pearl Harbor. The group recorded three albums and two singles, helping raise funds to build three churches on Kaua‘i. After attending college in California, Wilma married her husband of nearly 57 years, Richard. They spent nine exciting years in Houston working on NASA’s Moon Landing Project before settling in Palos Verdes, where Wilma enjoyed a 32-year real estate career and volunteered for 19 years at the Jeanne Jugan French Catholic Care Home. In retirement, she continues to serve Hawai‘i through various nonprofit organizations.

Donald Keliinoi

Donald Keliinoi grew up in Hawai‘i and is a proud graduate of Saint Louis High School, where he first developed the discipline and values that would guide his professional life. He continued his education at UCLA Business Schools before returning home to complete his BBA in Accounting at the University of Hawai‘i. Donald went on to build a long and impactful career with HMSA, contributing to the organization’s financial and administrative operations and supporting statewide health initiatives. He later continued his work at CEO Work Comp Hawai‘i, an HMSA subsidiary, where he played a key role in advancing Hawai‘i’s workers’ compensation services. Now retired, Donald reflects on a career defined by dedication, service, and a strong commitment to improving the well-being of Hawai‘i’s community and families.

Harvey Teves

Harvey Teves was raised on Kaua‘i and graduated from Kapa‘a High School before moving to Honolulu to pursue higher education. He attended Chaminade University, where he earned a BS in Economics, a foundation that would support his diverse and accomplished career. In 1962, Harvey joined the U.S. Army Security Agency, later advancing to a position with the National Security Agency (NSA) in Washington, D.C., in 1966. After a decade in national security, he shifted fields and, in 1972, became a contractor for Malia Land & Construction Co. in New Zealand. Over the years, Harvey also contributed his skills to HATCO Construction Company and Punahou School, taking on roles that blended leadership and technical expertise. Now semi-retired and living in Hawai‘i, he enjoys reflecting on a lifetime of meaningful service and experience.
